India

Week three is off to great start in Second Grade.
We are learning about India.  We looked at some amazing pictures of the way elephants are dressed up for special festivals.  Coloring is still a peaceful pastime in second grade, so we spent some time coloring elephants.
Several times a week we are creating new paint papers to use in a book we will create later in the year.  It is fun to try and see what images are hiding in our painting.

You've never seen such excitement over the The Three Little Pigs. It is hard to decide which props will be best to act out the book, but we are working hard on it.

We are also enjoying another book about pigs and soon we'll be creating our own little pigs.
Spark Stations are up and going and it so great all the learning, crafting, counting money, advertising, and on and on that is happening around our room.
Today we will have a special visitor presenting a six- week program on character.
Never a dull moment in second grade.
