Our week began with a career visit and information about anesthesiology. We love our special visitors that remind us there is still so much to learn.
We have been ending our day with an Advent reading. Some scripture is sure challenging to read in second grade, but we've tackled it. We turn the lights down, light the candle and listen in. After we read and learn a new name for Jesus, we write it in our book and then illustrate it. A peaceful way to end our day.
We are enjoying a new chapter book, that somehow seems very familiar, yet very strange.
This month we are studying Germany. Do you know about Krampus and the Angels? Well, just ask me and I'll tell you all about it. We decorated our map board with all kinds of nice and naughty characters.
Mrs. Paris brought us some German made cookies. We enjoyed a spot of tea on this dreary afternoon with our cookies.
Don't worry, we did lots of subtraction, talked measurement, went through all twenty four hours on the clock, learned to spell sight words that we use all the time, read a book a day and more!
