We've spent most of this semester in the past, learning about our ancestors, our area, and how we got to be here. Today, our special people came for our Biography Tea. We made lots of yummy treats.
We shared briefly about what we've been learning, sang a song about where we live, then introduced them to our ancestors.
After our big show, we got to show our special people around to see all the great things we've been working on.
We saved a big cucumber treat so our guests could see how our snails flock to the buffet. Wouldn't you know, not a one showed his face till everyone left. Then they didn't waste anytime running for the feast.
We are learning about the sun, and another classmate, who's grandpa grew popcorn, brought us another treat, so we enjoyed it while we watched Bill Nye telling about that big energy producer in the sky.
Another student shared a quilt her grandma made.
So ended our big, exciting day!
Earlier in the week, we got to watch, on the big screen, our classmate at a sheep show.
Learning about adjectives is more fun when you get to see, taste, hear and smell some colorful Skittles.
