Sad Goodbyes

Today we say "Good-bye" to our fluffy baby chicks who are not so happy being held and kind of causing a big stink in more than one way. Time to go a bigger space. We sure did love watching you try to hatch and holding you when were tiny and sweet.

It was also time to bid farewell to our friend Max, who gave us the chance to visit him at the Space Station, Mars, the Moon or Jupiter.  We learned a lot about space.  In other science we learned about phases of the moon.  Just for fun today, we created our very own galaxies. Aren't they beautiful? We named our galaxies and described what it was like to live there.

A Little Bit of Art

I was happy to find this book by Greg Tang- Math-erpiece, since our theme is about being God's Masterpiece.  Each two pages features a different artist.  The first one being Degas.   It has a math problem appropriate for the little people who sometimes walk by our room.  We are going to use it to study a different artist each time we turn a page.  Above you will see some fancy dancing shoes.

Speaking of masterpieces, our little class seeks all the many masterpieces in God's creations.  Our first chapter in religion focused on the word "create."  We created an acrostic with the word.  At first glance, they may all look the same, but upon closer examination, each kids brought their own touch to their creation.
